Whats up ya’ll, I’m Evan Halley, the editor and chief of emuneee.com.  I published this site to create an avenue to take all the jumbled ideas in my head and broadcast them to the world.  I hope they come out and make sense ;) .

I claim several places as home, but the most prominent are Gastonia, NC and Plainfield, NJ.  I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering from NC State in 2007 where I specialized in wireless telecommunications, embedded development, and some ASIC design.  I have held engineering positions in the past at internationally known companies such as Sony Ericsson, EMC, and Bayer CropScience.  Currently, I am an engineer at JDSU and I’m getting some pretty good experience with digital video test probes, digital video broadcasting, and Richfaces web application development.

I involve myself in personal development projects such as Speeed Reader (C#/Windows Mobile) to give me new experiences with different technologies.  Since getting this Android device (Samsung Captivate), I’ve been dibbling and dabbling in Android hacking.  Hopefully one day, I’m able to build my own Android kernel.  I am also actively developing applications on the Android mobile software platform, so expect to see some news in this area really soon.

I genuinely enjoy creating applications to solve problems for people.  I believe that the simplest conveniences can go a long to helping someone leave an easier and better life.

If you need a mobile application created for any reason, please feel free to contact me.

Besides all my development shenanigans, I do find time to hang out with my beautiful wife, spin records (and scratch!), lift weights, serve my community, Playstation 3 (PSN: emuneee), and stay abreast on the latest news in gadgets.  As a matter of fact, I have a pretty deep and passionate interest in many types of gadgets, from cell phones to cameras to MP3 players to computer hardware.  I pretty much enjoy reading and writing about it all.
